75 days and counting

Two and a half months to go -- unbelievable!

Things are getting very real: the nursery is basically complete, our stroller just arrived and my Raleigh baby shower (thanks to some of the best friends ever) is right around the corner. We have way too much to do right now, so it is too bad that all I want to do is sit on the couch and watch reruns of The Real Housewives of whatever. A very bad addiction for sure...

And Scott and I got quite the treat today -- after some persuasion I convinced him to let me make an appointment for an elective 3D ultrasound so we could get a good look at our little girl. It was amazing, just as it had been at 20 weeks when we found out she was a girl. I would highly recommend it to expecting mothers -- there is nothing quite like seeing your little one in such detail before she is even born! We will cherish the memories forever, I'm certain.

Even better yet, we've got some precious glamor shots to share. Now this is a big step for me, as I've been very hesitant to put pictures out there for all to see. Something about having my baby's photos online for the world to see creeps me out just a bit. But I've come to to conclusion that everything else is online anyhow, so it is pretty much unavoidable to keep my little baby protected forever. So here goes -- your first glimpse at our darling Madelyn:

Cute right? We think so! Little one had her legs up and over her head the whole time, which made it hard to get the perfect shot, but it seems quite possible she may someday be a gymnast! And although she's currently breech (which scares the heck out of her momma) we have our fingers crossed that she flips around properly before the big day. She may be uncooperative at the moment, but I'm so in love already...

  1. Love it! She looks like Scott to me! I imagine that she'll be a mini-mama though!!! So sweet... our office has that so hoping we will get to take advantage too! :)

  2. She is too cute! I'm sure she'll uncurl herself in no time. I can't wait to meet her!
